Standards EvidenceMy artwork is mine because its me and what I love. I was inspired by my teacher because she showed me you could do a half and half drawing using colored pencils. I also evaluated the Native American artists we got to look more closely at. This artwork is connected to my life because its things I love most about life in general. Half of me wants to be somebody i'm not. I want to belive I want to stay here with my family when I grow up but I don't. I want to travel the world and go on endless adventures. I don't want to sit around in this town. I want to be somebody I love. Maybe some artists feel the same way I do. To be yourself and to just go. take the risk and just go. Artist Statement

STANDARDS EVIDENCE-Maddie and I looked at Michelangelo and frank gehry. Frank showed more modern art and we thought we'd do something more boho. We had our idea in our sketchbook. The first idea we had was a cabin then we thought a tiki would be more unique. I think Michelangelo's art is really cool and his sculptures are very good. We took pictures of our art every time it changed. We looked on pinterest for ideas and made it our own. I loved making the ocean with the tiles and gluing seashells i brought from mexico. The moss was a cool thing to try. the popsicle sticks were kinda hard to keep up and not using a glue gun was frustrating. We have tons of different techniques like paint, shells, rocks, moss, flowers, popsicle sticks, and the raffia. The swing was difficult to get it to stay upright but we managed. we practiced out mod podge and put it over the tiles and sand to give it a glossier look. Artists Statement-Our artwork is a piece of cardboard with blue paint and mosaic tiles as the ocean. we painted where the sand was brown then decided to glue shells on. we then glued sand all over. We glued rocks on and filled it with moss. We then found flowers and stuck them in. we made pillars out of popsicle sticks and added and base. After we made a roof by layering the popsicle sticks. we then wood glued raffia. We put a few designs on the pillars and created a swing using yarn, popsicle stick, and paint. we basically created it out of popsicle sticks, cardboard, paint, and many different other designs/small objects. we tried to show the beach. and the beauty of warm tropical places. My goals is to express my emotion . I like painting way more than making 3D. This project didn't really help my goals but it was fun. I learned 3D work is harder than it looks. It is what I imagined but i wish it was brighter.
